What I have been up to!

The blue polka dot dress is from Simplicity 3778. Since it is from cheap fabric, it will be a nitie:). The blue and purple is reconstructed from a thrift store find. I loved the fabric, but it was an old granny dress. No more...it is officially a nitie. The bottom of the orange sundress is a vintage sheet...also found at the thrift store. Not sure if I will add orange straps or not...am also considering adding a ruffle to the bottom. The bottom one is a top that I could not wear in public because it exposed way too much 48 year old cleavage. I cut if off and then sewed it to a tube of fabric that I have had for 13 years. It was too big, so I added elastic under the bodice. This one is a house dress.

My 300th Post~~Graphic Give-A-Way:).

First things first! This is officially my 300th Post! I am sure there are those of you who are glad we are acquainted only in Blogland, cause if I post this much how much must I talk? You are NOT allowed to discuss that quandry with my dear brother...lol.

As has been my norm when reaching the 'hundredths' posts, I am having a Give-A-Way. This time, though, it is a little different since everyone is a winner! My dear darling daughter, who spoils me richly, has made alphas as a way of "Paying-It-Forward" in Blogland. An alpha is a graphic alphabet and lots of us bloggers use them for keeping us on track and providing a theme for our Thursday Thirteen meme posts.

There are: a cat doing what cats do best and even the letters are made of cat poses, a nuzzling penquin pair, a celestial one featuring the woman in the moon, and even a cute little girly in a polka-dotted dress! Meet my newest heart-adopted child~

I am having such a wonderful time in life being totally immersed in the love our Heavenly Father is showering on me! The cool thing about splashing around in a pool of love is that you want everyone to get soaked in it too.

I have decided that I am gonna spread the love not only in blogland but IRL, too. Over the next few month I will introduce my blog family to my real family and vise-a-versa. Today I want you to meet my newest heart-adopted baby girl. Her name is Jen & she uses the screen name, Bubbles, sometimes. Bubbly is the perfect description of her personality! This young lady was brought into my life by my youngest son. They are currently sweethearts so I get to see her often. Not only is she absolutely beautiful physically she has a soul that matches her insides to her outsides. The fact that she adores me does not in any way hurt my feelings...lol. Here is the myspace comment she left for me this morning:

She is so cute I could just bite her~ I love it when other people share the same quirks that I have. This kid finds it impossible to wear matched socks...and I love it. I do the same thing...just ask my kids about my cotton argyle sock collection...lol.

My blog was getting so full that I thought it might burst...lol. The other day I was making myself template codes for the memes I frequent when I remembered that I also had a list of wonderful sites that I want to showcase but I needed an organized format to do so. Then I had an A-ha! moment. I could make a meme. Imagine that!

This would accomplish several things. My blog would be less cluttered, great sites would get some free exposure, visitors to my blog would be exposed to sites they otherwise may have never found, AND the links to all of those great sites would be accessible via the meme when I wanna go to any of them.

PLUS I could make another graphic(which I love to do), I could get more visitors here AND make new friends!

Do you suffer from BADD? In a recent post, I discovered that I do. What is BADD? I am so glad that you asked!

BADD is Blog Attention Deficit Disorder and it characterized by various symptons which may include, but are not limited to, getting online to do routine blog maintance, catch up on what your blogging-buddies have been up to, or make a post and suddenly hours have passed...and your intended job is not complete.

If you suffer from BADD, feel free to take the following code and place it in the sidebar of your blog and then leave a comment on this post. Doing so will net(pun fully intended) you a few good things.
1. You will begin the healing process(God forbid~) by admitting that you have a problem.

If you are like me, you are a blog hopper. Now this is a label I am proud to bear. I do, however have a major gripe to get off. I love blogspot and the fact that I can customize my own free blog. However, this same priviledge allows others to delete the 'Next Blog' link on their own blogs and when they do my leisurely hop is over. GGGRRRRRRRR~ This is frustrating to me.
